Local & Global Outreach seeks to support local and global initiatives by serving neighbors outside the church community. Each year a scripture-based theme is created, which in return helps guide the ministry initiatives. Just a small sample of initiatives include: providing food for the ACTS Pantry, coordinating meals at the Prince William County Homeless Prevention Center, adopting three children affected by AIDS, help at the Prince William Country Winter Shelter, provide Christmas gifts for the children of the Good Shepherd Housing Foundation and assist the ELCA Metro Washington, D.C. Synod with their “Gifts of Hope” project.
